Clay Earring Cutter Maker

Design custom polymer clay earring cutters online. Choose your shape, set exact dimensions, make a mirrored pair, and export a print-ready STL in minutes. Built specifically for earring makers — not cookie decorators.

Built specifically for earring makers

Most cutter generators are designed for cookie decorators. The shapes are sized for dough, not clay. There’s no mirrored pair. The proportions that work for a 90mm cookie cutter look wrong at 35mm earring size.

CutClay Studio 3D Clay Earring Cutter Interface

CutClay was designed from the beginning for polymer clay earring work. Every default — shape proportions, blade thickness presets, blade depth — is calibrated for clay, not food. The earring-specific features aren’t add-ons; they’re core to how the tool works.

Earring-specific features

What makes CutClay different for earring makers.

Sharp clay blade

A 0.4mm cutting tip on a tapered 1.2mm wall. It slices cleanly through soft clay instead of squashing it, so edges need little to no sanding after baking.

Mirrored pair export

Export a left and right version of any shape in one click. Professional earring sets where both pieces face outward symmetrically when worn.

Earring proportions

Shape library proportions are tuned for 25–55mm earring sizes. What looks good at cookie scale often looks wrong at earring scale — these shapes look right.

Hundreds of earring-ready shapes

Teardrops, organic drops, leaves, florals, geometrics, celestials — all designed at proportions that work for earrings, not just scaled-down cookies.

Recommended settings for polymer clay earring cutters

Size: 30–50mm is the standard range for drop earrings. Start at 35–40mm for your first cutter.

Blade: Keep the default 0.4mm cutting tip and 1.2mm wall for clean cuts. Increase the blade thickness for cutters you’ll use in high-volume production.

Blade depth: 12mm (the default) works for virtually all polymer clay thicknesses (2–3mm sheets). No need to go taller for clay work.

Filament: PETG for production cutters. It’s more heat-resistant than PLA (important near a heat gun), more durable, and lasts longer under daily use. PLA is fine for prototyping.

Jump ring hole: Punch or drill it after cutting, centered at the top and at least 3mm from the edge so the clay doesn’t tear. A 1.2–1.5mm hole fits most jump rings.
