Free Cookie Cutter Generator
Design custom cookie cutters in your browser. Pick a shape, set exact dimensions, and export a print-ready STL file in minutes. No downloads, no CAD experience, no credit card.
Create any cookie cutter shape you can imagine
CutClay is a free parametric generator — not a library of fixed shapes. Adjust every dimension to get exactly what you need.
Choose your shape
Browse A growing shape library: hearts, stars, animals, florals, letters, geometric forms, and seasonal cutters. Click any to preview in 3D.
Set your dimensions
Type exact millimeter values for width, height, wall thickness, and cutter depth. Standard cookie cutters are typically 60–100mm wide and 20mm deep.
Download & print
Export your STL file in one click. Open in any slicer software and print on any FDM printer. PETG is recommended for food-safe cookie cutters.
Why use CutClay for cookie cutters?
Most cookie cutter generators were built for one specific use case. CutClay was designed as a universal parametric tool — which means it handles cookie cutters, clay cutters, and custom shapes equally well.
The key advantage is precision. Instead of downloading a fixed STL and hoping it’s the right size, you set exact dimensions before exporting. A 73mm wide gingerbread man. A heart that’s exactly 55mm tall. A star with walls that are 2mm thick. You control every variable.
The free tier includes our full shape library (growing) with 10 free STL exports (lifetime). No account required to browse — sign in with Google or Apple only when you’re ready to download.
Recommended print settings for cookie cutters
Getting clean, durable cookie cutters from your printer.
Filament
PETG for food contact — it’s more heat-resistant than PLA and considered food-safe when printed correctly. PLA is fine for decorative cutters not used with food.
Wall thickness
2–2.5mm is standard for cookie cutters. Thicker walls are more durable for regular use. Thinner walls give sharper cuts but are more fragile.
Cutter height
20–25mm works well for most cookie dough. Rolled dough at 6–8mm needs at least 20mm of cutter height to cut cleanly through.
Layer height
0.2mm is a good balance of speed and quality. 0.15mm gives smoother edges on curved shapes. Print with the cutting edge pointing up.
